Maternity aide nurses

Our maternity aide nurses are registered in the Neonatal Care Quality Register and receive regular training in line with the latest guidelines. This way, we are always up-to-date with the latest changes in childbirth care. All of our maternity aide nurses meet the following requirements:

• They are qualified and competent
• They work according to the latest protocols, guidelines and agreements
• They tailor the care to the specific needs and wishes of the family
• A trainee maternity aide nurse will only provide maternity care under the supervision of an instructor (in consultation remotely).

Customer testimonials

We want to continually improve our care and make sure you get the care you expect. That is why we want to hear about your experience. During the first week after your baby’s birth, the maternity aide nurse will complete an evaluation, but the office will also call you to find out if the care you received met your expectations. After the neonatal week, you will be sent a digital evaluation form via the survey agency Triqs. This will give you valuable information: what is going well and what could be improved? The results are constantly monitored and our processes are adjusted accordingly.
Year after year, our organisation continues to perform exceptionally well in the Neonatal Care Quality Benchmark (Kwaliteitsbenchmark Kraamzorg). Cooperation

VSV

We work together with other maternity care providers in the region through the Dutch Midwives Association (Verloskundige Samenwerkingsverbonds, VSV), to provide the best possible care for pregnant women, their partners, and their (unborn) babies, and to better coordinate this care. We are affiliated with:

• VSV Samen Zuyd
• VSV Maastricht Heuvelland

KSV

Together with other maternity care organisations, we are part of the Dutch Maternity Care Association (Maternity Care Samenwerkingsverband, KSV) aimed at improving the quality of care and cooperation.

Midwifery practices and hospitals

We work together with all midwifery practices and hospitals in the region. Regular consultations are held to improve cooperation.

Insurers

We have a contract with all the insurance companies and meet the quality standards set by the insurers.

Certifications

We are HKZ gecertificeerd, an important quality mark for neonatal care. The HKZ (Harmonization Quality Assessment in the Health Sector) certificate relates to the quality management system of our organisation and means that we:

• Have organised everything properly within the organisation
• We say what we do and do what we say
• We put our clients first
• We continuously work on improving our care
• Carry out neonatal care according to the standards of the sector, financiers, clients, and government.

The certificate requires us to review our level of quality every year. The auditor visits us once a year to assess whether we are still entitled to hold the HKZ certificate.

Internal audit

In addition to the external (HKZ) audit, we also carry out an annual internal audit, which examines all processes within Cicogna and everything related to them. Are we still doing what we promised? And how can we continue to improve?

BO Geboortezorg

Cicogna Neonatal Care is affiliated with the Branche Organisatie Geboortezorg, (Branch Organisation for Childbirth Care) BO Geboortezorg for short, and works with the complaints procedure of Bo Geboortezorg. The complaints officer at Bo Geboortezorg can provide support and advice in handling a complaint if required.
